I’m Alex Howard & I rant about heavy metal, the best genre of music out there(if I say so myself)! 

If you love all metal, from underground to the mainstream, then you are in the right spot. 

I might be controversial at times, but if that isn’t what metal is all about, then I don’t know what is. 

I do reviews, opinion pieces, news, and most importantly share the music that should be on your radar as a metalhead.

HOW WE CAN KEEP METAL THRIVING

I just said I would be controversial at times. Well, here is your first taste of that.

 In order for metal to keep thriving in modern times, we need to let it become more mainstream without compromising the integrity of the backbone of the genre, that being the rebellious nature it was born from. 

We can do that by supporting all artists, bands, and scenes from large to small. Yes, that even means the bands and scenes that elitists absolutely hate.

WHY I WRITE ABOUT THE BEST DAMN GENRE OF MUSIC OUT THERE

I grew up listening to bands like Drowning Pool & Disturbed. Then, like most metal listeners, grew into heavier subgenres. 

But, I still absolutely love the “gateway bands” as some may call them. I believe all metal deserves a place in the community. 

I make not like it all, but it will sound good to someone and that’s all that matters!

Here are the reasons for why I write about heavy metal:

  • Because it's absolutely badass!
  • Give others a place to read about
  • Let others discover something new that they can headbang to
