A Longing for Old-School Metalcore is Fulfilled

There is really not enough space in this post to describe how awesome Not Enough Space is as a metalcore act that has blown up in popularity ever since their track “No Way Out” dropped at the end of March this year.

A six-piece band that has me salivating for a 2000s metalcore revival, Not Enough Space is poised for success as long as they continue to use that old-school sound to their advantage.

Consisting of two fantastic vocalists in Olivia Marie @metalcoreliv and Lizzie Kristina @lizzie.christina, they are able to blend cleans and screams seamlessly in a style of metalcore that should be dead in 2023.

Thank God this band is one that is still keeping it alive!

Considering where this band was just over two years ago when their 2021 EP “End This Way” was released, it’s crazy to think how much they have changed in such a short amount of time.

They did a complete 180 in sound. But honestly, I love that such an EP was released as it provides a variety in sound for a band that more people can enjoy as in the vein of Linkin Park.

Make no mistake, Not Enough Space is going places!

The Energy From Not Enough Space is Undeniable

A big reason why I and many others have recently fallen in love with this band’s music is because of the energy that they bring. In their music videos, especially for their new single “Don’t Be Scared”, you can easily tell they are having such a hell of a time.

Combined with the simplicity of some of the videos as the band is the primary display, it creates an authentic feeling to the listener.

Having a blooper at the end of “Don’t Be Scared” does the same. Please keep those moving forward. It’s awesome!

Reading comments underneath each video on YouTube tells me that many people who are discovering this band are clamoring for that old-school Asking Alexandria metalcore sound.

So, with the easygoing nature of their videos, that positivity is reinforced and should hopefully keep people still wanting more of it.

Another big reason why Not Enough Space has the energy is that they still have so much more music they can create and put out there.

They have one EP,  with five tracks and only six singles, which means the creativity in songwriting, and breakdowns, can only grow from here.

The ‘bleghs’ can come along for the ride too.

There’s no way out of listening to Not Enough Space once they grab a hold of your ears.

The Immediate Future Of Not Enough Space

This short list of songs will have a few more added to it in the fall when the band releases their next EP, so definitely check it out when it releases(will update when the EP drops).

Hopefully, that EP lives up to the hype. I will be patiently waiting to headbang to it.

Coming up on August 19th and 20th, they will be playing shows in Tampa, Florida, and Winter Park, Florida with Archers, Versus Me, Discrepancies, Stoned Mary, and Until I Die rounding out the lineup. So go see them if you can.

Why Not Enough Space is Freaking Awesome!

If you want to be transported back in time to the late 2000s and early 2010s metalcore sound, Not Enough Space is who you need to be seeking out.

That sound still works in 2023 and the fact that the band has recognized that is so cool to me.

Mix a little crabcore in the pot and you have a recipe for a badass metalcore band that still sounds incredible in the modern metal scene!

Go check out their new single “Don’t Be Scared” and the rest of their work.

I cannot wait to see what this group does next!
